    Canedog Offseason Season 2022/23

Oh wow, you're already working on hardening them off eh? I just started this week. I'm thinking maybe around the 20th I'll feel confident enough to leave them outside if the weather cooperates. They definitely need new pots now, so I might be stretching my luck. That being said - we just...

They are looking good CD! Those tepins really like growing all scraggly. The last time I grew them I managed to trim them into a neat bush - and all I got was 1 pod for all that trouble!

Nice progress CD! That AAD looks like a good specimen. It's been great to have pictures of your setup and see how things are progressing on the whole. The nice Saturday weather we had tempted me to start thinking about taking some of the plants outside, but I know better now! This is just a tease!

Looking good CD! How's the Tepin doing? I sowed some seeds in dirt in mid Jan, but they haven't germinated yet. I started another batch in rockwool a couple of weeks ago in hopes I will be getting at least one plant to grow indoors during the year. We'll see how that goes. How much do you prune...

Hey CD! Awesome harvest for a Solo Cup Grow! I have some seeds that I don't know if they'll grow true or not, so this is the perfect way of finding out without using a big pot. Will definitely give this a try to quickly cycle through some seeds... Regarding the Peachadews - They are awesome...

    Canedog Offseason Season 2022/23

Looking good CD! It's great to see that you can grow plants to full maturity in solo cups in order to get isolated seed. Those upright clustered pods sure do look like Thai Dragon - nothing wrong with those! They are good producers...

Good luck on your grow @PaulG! Will be following along. I can definitely feel it - June won't suck this year here in the PNW!

Good luck on the grow TB. Rockwool is a great medium to germinate in. I say the first hooks in 3 days. If you don't mind me asking - what type of tray is that underneath the 1020 tray? The previous owners of my house left a similar looking one - it's a Garland tray and I love it. I've been...

Sucks about the flies DF. Hope this gets sorted out, and good luck on your 2023 grow!

    HeatMiser's 2022 Glog

It's time to close this one up. Overall, it was the most challenging grow to date, with the plants being stunted for the month of June. Things changed for the better and we still managed a good harvest. In terms of the goals I had at the beginning of the year, I was able to refresh my 10+ year...

If you don't like the raw baccatum taste, I'd definitely recommend making flakes out of them. This is what we've done with Lemon Drop and Sugar Rush Peach and the flakes are outstanding - they are a step up from your run-of-the-mill red pepper flakes.

Thanks CD! Yes I know there isn't a clear winner here. I wish I could extend the grow to get a second harvest of peppers but I have family coming over for the holidays and need to clean up the room  . However, as you mentioned, I don't really have to choose only one plant - I think I'll end...

    HeatMiser's 2022 Glog

OK, with family coming the next week, my indoor grow has its days numbered. As a recap, I've always had a hard time getting chinenses to fruit indoors, so I grew 3 sibling Reapers giving them different nutrients to understand if that would impact yield, and to try to find a way for me to be...

    HeatMiser's 2022 Glog

Well I thought I'd post the final picture of my outdoor grow. All the outdoor plants are done at this point and this was the last harvest: There's a little bit of everything here - Peachadews, Sugar Rush Peach, White Habs, Ghosts, Death Spiral, Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, Chocolate Reaper...

Nice - thanks for the pointers CD! I bought some 3.5 inch square pots this year to try out in my next grow. I guess I'll add some of these 5.5 inch ones as well, if only to keep me from having to water as frequently when the plants get bigger. I'm definitely interested in seeing how you manage...

Christmas came here early! Got Train A yesterday, added a few varieties and now the package is on its way to @PaulG!

    Canedog Offseason Season 2022/23

Nice progress CD! So what's the plan with this indoor grow? Are you going to keep these plants in their solo cups? I've been wondering how long I'd be able to keep them in small containers since I usually run out of room with my main grow, but have been hesitant to experiment with those plants...

Good luck with your grow @CaneDog. It's almost going to be 3 years since we shared those seeds - glad they're still germinating fine. They're actually on my list for next year, but given we've both had problems getting them to fruit, I think I'll grow mine indoors until they do set fruit.

Thanks CD! It's definitely been a loong season full of ups and downs, but ultimately, we seem to be making a comeback late in the 4th quarter. There's still plenty of pods to pull, I guess we'll have enough heat to keep us warm and toasty through the winter!
