My Super Hots finally changing color..

OK, just tried the salsa. The heat level is pretty high but acceptable. I'd say that the salsa ended up about 40000 - 50000 SHU. The taste is a little bit like the taste of the St. Augustine Datil pepper which belongs to the Habanero family.

My Super Hots finally changing color..

Salsa is in process right now.. The smell is so aggressive that my wife has a hard time breathing it.. Looks like the peppers are truly super hots..  I think that my guess that they are Trinidad Moruga Scorpions was dead on.. The pod size and shape are very consistent with it as is the apparent...

My Super Hots finally changing color..

I doubt that 2 superhots will make it too spicy for me.. I have an extreme high tolerance.. My picture is on a lot of restaurant walls who have hot food challenges.. I signed plenty of waivers also.. About 2 years ago, my wife mad salsa with about 10 Bhut Jolokia, 10 habaneros and a bunch of...

You only apply Osmocote every 3 to 4 months due to it's slow release.   3 to 4 times per year.

fertilizer What Fertilizers do y'all use?

A co-worker who has been growing peppers for many years recommended Osmocote plus due to it's slow release.. He grows many types of peppers and got me into growing them about a year ago.. I'm in my 2nd year and my first year of growing didn't turn out as expected.. I planted Thai, orange...

Of course, it's impossible to know for sure. They sure look like superhots. I will post a video when I consume one of them.. The hottest pepper I have eaten so far was a ghost pepper, so, I will be able to tell if this one is hotter than a ghost pepper or not..  Now that most plants have...

    Need help identifying peppers.

Did some more image searches and I'm 99% sure that the peppers are Trinidad Moruga Scorpions, even the oddball one.. Moruga Scorpions sometimes can take that shape too.. The same plant now has another fruit and it looks like the fruit on the other plants.. They all look fairly similar and all...

My Super Hots finally changing color..

They reached their full size weeks ago and finally, the first one started turning red.. They are either some kind of reaper hybrid or Trinidad Morgua Scirpion. They grew from seeds that were supposed to be reapers. Definitely some kind of superhots..

Good to know.. That's why I ended up ordering real Reaper seeds from Smoking Ed (Puckerbutt). At least I know for sure what I will be getting..  Can't complain about what I got from Ebay.. I paid something like $3 including shipping for the seeds.. Pretty peppers for the money!! Based on the...

So, I started inspecting all plants that grew from the same seeds.. There are a total of 7 plants that grew from those seeds. Plant 1: Definitely Chinense with up to 4 flowers per node. Many fruits already, mushroom shaped. Plant 2 and 3: Very small and no fruits or flowers yet Plant 4...
