    pod What is this? Thanks.

Considering it's a cross, depending on how stabilized the genes are, you can wind up with totally different-looking peppers from the same batch of seeds.

pod '20 seed xchange mystery- not fidalga amarillo

I would guess a mutation or cross, but no idea with what. You can see the "top" shape vaguely on some of those pods in the 2nd picture. Definitely a c. chinense with that calyx (cinched/constricted at the base) and flower color (very pale green-yellow).

pod Freak fruit that's a different colour

The "ripening" to purple is more likely a response to light. A "suntan" of sorts that some peppers do supposedly as protection against UV light (although I've had peppers grown indoors have the same response as well, without UV). Some pepper varieties have it show up more often than others. I'm...

    issue Hydroponic leaf curl

I'm no hydroponics expert, but I can try and guess. What kind of nutrients are you using? What kind of water? pH sounds kind of low, but I don't think that's the issue. Might want to try and bump it up a bit to 6.0-6.5ish, but upper 5's shouldn't be causing issues that severe. My guess would...

    pod What is this?

Oh, I thought baccatums had kinda "toothier" end points on the calyx than annuums? Maybe not. But yeah, I guess my thought was to see whether it was Chinense or not, but the pods look pretty Baccatum-y. Most of them have that particular subtle wavy dimpling...

    pod What is this?

Aji Amarillo would be my first guess, too, but I'm not 100% sure.   Aji Amarillo are usually pretty big (there is a strain of smaller ones, though, like the picture ahayastani posted, but I haven't grown them).   It's hard to tell for sure without a good shot of the calyx... looks like most of...

    pod C. Baccatum?

Yeah, that dark coloring is plant "suntan" that will go away once the pepper starts ripening.   Gonna guess this is Malawi Piquante, aka Peppadew peppers. Not too hot, good for pickling and stuffing!

    issue ?Aji Pineapple? turning...black?

the Lemon Drops I grew a few years ago did the same thing. These types of baccatums seem prone to heavy "suntanning" that will fade away as soon as they start ripening to yellow.

    baccatum Earliest baccatums?

Yeah, Lemon Drops ripen pretty quick compared to Aji Amarillo, Sugar Rush Peach and the other larger baccatums.

    Hello

Hi!   Been lurking here for years, but finally decided to make an account.   I've been growing peppers since 2017, with most of the seeds I've been growing from r/hotpepper's annual seed exchange. Kind of interested in using this space to start a glog or something. We'll see.   See you around!
