    Winter Growing in 5gal Buckets?

Hey guys! So I expect all of my pepper and tomato plant will probably be dead by the end of October. So was wondering if anyone in a zone 7 area has had any luck growing winter veggies in buckets? If so, what kinds? It gets fairly cold with some snow at the end of January, but its cloudy...

    Padron - Western Washington Plateau.

Well Guys, it looks like the season is coming to an end. I dont see a 70deg day in the future and its only going to get colder and here comes the rain. Had issues with a few days over 90deg, a wind storm that broke the stem of the tomato plant in the orange bucket at the dirt line. Funny, it...

Hey Guys! You know its kind of funny. Here I am thinking Ive screwed up so bad with these plants that they will never produce, or at least not this year and.. YAY! And more flowers are producing pepper buds! These are picked at between 1 and 2 inched for culinary reasons. Its nice to see that...

Padron and tomatoes in the morning! A few days ago I sprayed them down with a mix of water, diatomaceous earth, FF Grow Big and Big Bloom. Killed the heck out of the gnats that were infesting the tomatoes. Washed the leaves off a bit last night. Here comes the hot weather finally...

    Padron - Western Washington Plateau.

Hi Guys! Its been about 12 days since my last post. About a week ago I stuck a chop stick into the buckets and continued my effort to break up the clumpy soil around the roots. Just wiggled them around a bit in 14 different places. Then they had their first flush! I was wonderful to see the...

pests Getting rid of fire ants

I dont want to be the bummer. You will probably need to bring in heavy insecticides for this problem if its true fire ants. You already know that the different methods only move them to a different area. You need to find the hive and nuke it. Im sorry I cant tell you how to do that.

After posting some concerns, and getting advice from a few other boards, the consensus is let it ride. Root damage, Wet soil and Lighting. Recent transplant. Im going let the soil dry out over the next few weeks and then hopefully the weather will allow me to put them outside full time. No one...

issue Root damage, Wet soil and Lighting. Recent transplant.

Ok, I think I hit a snag or two.. This will just be one plant as they are all showing the same symptoms(?) When I transplanted a week ago, I tore some roots that were bound around the bottom of the pots they were in. They still had a decent cluster, but I lost some of the longer ones. This how...
