This grow is bananas!! I have no idea what I'd actually do with THAT many peppers though!

It really DID overwinter, just outside and unexpected. I chopped it below any growth.

Aribibi failed to germinate, everything else was 100%.  All are outside for the year now, the rocotos are in an area that only gets indirect sunlight.  Can't wait to get them out of the solo cups and into the bags!

Howdy neighbor!  Last frost here is Feb 17, but in all reality it never frosts here.  As soon as the nighttime temps are in the mid 50's(in about 2 weeks) I'll be having them outside.  I might move them to the garage some nights if it's too windy, but they'll be out of the house.     Good luck...

Just a quick update before I leave for a week.  The Feltmanns are winning, 3 out of 4 are up and open. 2 out of 4 rocotos are now up, past the hook stage. A BBG pumpkin is a hook. No Aribibi yet.  Still pretty quick starts for superhots! I just put seeds into solo cups in my unheated, but 70F...

The rocoto is just a hook still, but it's doing something!    The last time I germinated the rocotos from this bag of seeds I had 4 out of 5 grow, so I'm expecting equal success this time.   Today the other Feltmann variety, "wrinkled", was up.  That's really fast for superhots  :dance:   So...

First signs of life, Feltmann "smooth".  There's also a red rocoto that's just about up :)  

He's mentioned in a few videos where he gets them, from Europe somewhere but I can't recall off the top of my head.

I've been following him all season, he's a really good grower.  Definitely a bit "out there", but aren't we all  ;)

Because I live in a HOT climate!  Temps in the upper 90's and 100's for most of the year, and a few sudden drops to the 40's for a few days scattered in.  And wind is a constant! It's tough to grow sensitive plants here, but I've never backed down from a challenge!  I should have sown 2 months...

Super hot and red.  Very tasty, a bit fruity. One had smooth peppers, one wrinkled.  I planted 2 of each, so who knows what will grow :P
