Weather has finally warmed up here so I'm getting good plant growth, but I am still way behind where I expected to be by now. My scorpions are under a foot tall, but at this point I think I will allow them to flower.

I feel your pain. I sun scorched a whole bunch of plants in jan/feb, but had to bring them in at night in march. Last year april was in the 90's here. My weather widget says 43 tonight. It's nuts.

I had the same problem with many, many of my small plants. I thought maybe they got too much sun, or not enough water. I began watering deeper, giving only partial sun (sun can get pretty intense here, even in winter) and using fish/kelp nutes regularly. They are now green and healthy.

Regarding Rain Water, after a rain here in Southern Calif, there is a sticky yellow/orange gunk left behind. It may not be acid rain, but it sure doesn't look appealing, and I do my best to protect plants from the rain. Who would have thought...

Anyone try gypsum stone for calcium?

I have found that spraying w/fish based nutes leaves a nasty taste a lot of bugs don't like. Haven't seen any bugs since I began using it. No more soapy water, oils, etc.
