I don't post much anymore......   ....too busy. COVID made my job 1000 times busier.   Here's a taste of when I actually get to cook:   STEAK OSCAR........21 day, wet aged fillet (a steal at $25.99/lb!) cooked to a perfect med-rare.......lump blue crab, homemade bearnaise, roasted garlic smashed...

Carried one for protection.....     ....I own two of them....   ......would NEVER carry it again.

    I'm going to have to look into learning that skill!!

The final product........           Oh, yes.........   .....my Gun-Fu is STRONG!!!

Here's the receiver after filing down the dings and polishing to a mirror finish:       Yeah.......I'm liking it!!   The new fore-end was slightly darker than the stock......so I restained the stock:     Time to assemble!!!

So.......I began with the barrel.   I stripped the paint from the barrel (which was hiding some pretty neat scroll-work near the breech), then sanding it.....polishing it....and reblued it:             On to the receiver and stock!!    

About 4 years ago.......I took custody (for free) of an incomplete and abused Over/under 12G Shotgun:     Not only was the hand-guard and hardware missing.......some moron had sanded off the barrel bluing and SPRAY PAINTED it...   ....Being that this gun hasn't been imported from Spain since...

    Let's try and unpack this....   1) Although the LPVOs are handy.....they always remind me of a broken scope.....because the front of the tube just abruptly ENDS. So...it's a cosmetic peeve to me. The 1 MOA red dot with a flip to the side 3X magnifier (and a QD mount) is a fantastic...
