    Weirdest weed I ever seen

In my time growing I've yet to see somthing like this. Still debating on whether or not this is a bad thing. I don't play around with wild mushrooms but I did want to have a look at it. Wonder what kind this is and why it sprouted in my Fatalii's pot. Stinky Fish emulsion perhaps?

Ripening: Green to Yellow/Orange in 24 hours

Just a curiosity. I don't remember ever paying as much attention to my plants as I have this season, but I'd of never got a chance to whitness this if I didn't. One of the smallest peppers on my Fatalii started ripening on Memorial day. This morning it was fully yellow/orange. Is the...

pics Pics of My Early Starts

Experimented with starting peppers earlier than usual and have to say I'm pleased with the results. I started three initially but gave one to my Mom. These are the two I have left. My biggest concern was keeping them small enough to hold in a tight space. When they began to noticably take...

heat Did I miss Something: World's hottest

I know I've been gone for about a week or so, but it would appear that I've missed something....(or Wikepedia is less reliable than I thought) Trolling around as I do, I ran across a statement regarding the Bhut to the tune of "a Chili pepper recognized as the 2nd hottest"...

    2011 Grow: Strain Tips

I live in North Carolina and have grown peppers for the past 3 or so years. I've noticed that some strains can be more finicky than others. This year my entire grow list is new to me so I've no idea what to expect. Would appreciate info on the following strains. Specific things I'm looking...

    Stuffing pepper experience

Well trolling THP long enough certainly introduces/encourages one to try all sorts of things. ie drying and making your own pepper flake seasoning or eating entire pods. Well recently I tried my hand at pepper stuffing and though pleasantly surprised with my results, I must say I was a bit...

Capsicum Genus –For the botany and/or taxonomy Nut

Figured this was a good find for folks really into Botany/Taxonomy. It's also a good place to see what some of the wild Species of Capsicum look like (which is how I ran across it). http://www.saunalahti.fi/thietavu/Chili/L_wild.htm
