My plants in pots seem to be smaller than ones in the ground.

A few years back I planted some peppers in the ground and some in pots. The peppers in the ground grew much better and produced more peppers.

Tap water, even city water that's been treated, won't hurt your plants. I'd save your money on the distilled water, stop using fertilizer, and just use tap water as needed.

How do you guys keep the weeds down in your pepper garden? I'm having issues with some type of grass growing in my garden. I've been pulling a lot out every day but just can't seem to stay ahead of it. Do some use herbicides? what type? do some just pull and bear it?

I agree. This is the reason for my question. I'm wondering if PepperJoe sent me some type of hybrid. To me it looks like it may be some type of tai sun pepper hybrid. But I don't know. Maybe tai sun cross with florescent purple?

last time I tasted one was last year. I don't remember what I had for breakfast today so unfortunately I don't remember what it tasted like last year :( other than that they were medium heat--maybe a little hotter than a Jalapeno. They do have a lot of seeds in them.

Is it common for a hybrid to demonstrate aggressive growth relative to it's non-hybrid parent?

I didn't poke holes in mine and they turned out fine. I put about sixty in plastic cups. I planted about 40 in jiffy cardboard cups. The plants in the plastic cups did much better.

Quarter size hail tore up a handful but they should recover. Lost one---hail broke it in half.
