    Dollar Tree Air Pruning Pot

After reading some posts and watching some YouTube videos on the subject I thought I would give Air Pruning a try.   A quick trip to the local Dollar Tree and $2 later, this pot was ready.   The victim of choice was a orange habanero.   The plant really seems happy in its new home.        ...

pics Over Fertilized, or Too Much Water? ....pics

A little over a week ago, I fertilized my plants in pots; then a day later the rain started.  It rained almost everyday for about a week; hard driving rain.  Yesterday looking at my plants I noticed the new leaf growth is crinkly and my Tabasco has some white blotches on some of the leaves.    ...

    Plant distance from light

Anyone have a good rule of thumb for the distance a plant will be happiest away from the light source?   These are (6) [100 watt 6500k 1600 lumens] CFLs and the grow box is approximately 15 sq. ft.   The plants are drying out really fast and the cups (soil) is really warm using this distance and...

    Curling Leaf Help?

Any Ideas why the leaves on this Purple Jalapeno would be curling, I'm bottom watering and feeding weekly with diluted nutrients. I don't think I am over watering going by the weight of the cup and using the inexpensive meter.  Could it possibly be root bound or could it be a light issue.      ...

seeds The Little Seedling that could

Tried to start some Hungarian Wax Peppers from seed in seed starting mix, no luck nothing germinated.   Switched methods and tried in damp paper towel in Ziploc bag, finally after about a month several germinated. Planted the seedlings into seed starting mix, only two took root.  Then came a...
