i also designed a vacuum maranating unit. it is basic but it works well oh ya those are pressure tanks i got them from a tank company they had dents in them so they could not sell them. the firebox is 18 inch drill pipe 1/2 inch thick . here are some more pics...

Noooo no paint on the inside at all. once i had them 100% built the entire unit was bead blasted then the doors were masked and painted and the outside was painted the reason it looks White is it is freshly blasted.... in one picture you can see the masking tape still on the unit. once...
