    seeds GERMINATION CHART

I set out to increase the ambient heat  by supplementing with a space heater directed at the propagation level in the grow stand. Possibly to much of a good thing, I left the heater on high and forgot and after 6 hrs I realized and shut it off. Granted I'm using an inferred thermometer that...

fermenting Great taste but non appealing smell to fermented sauce

This past weekend I processed a mash that was fermented then aged for two years in the refrigerator. The look was bright and fresh, no mold, ect. It was cooked for 15 minutes, blended, then cooked another 20 minutes, then bottles. It's getting good reviews on taste but not so good on aroma.   Is...

I'm ashamed to admit I've never heard of a Hatch chile. I've since learned that Hatch is where they're grown and by most www info I've gathered the variety is an "anaheim" type chile.   So, I ask you professional chile heads what's your favorite seed stock to get me close?   Some years back I...

    non pheno FRANKENSTEIN

I believe this monster came from seed from a YELLOW 7 I saved from last years grow. Possible it's from my red naglah's that I've been saving for 2 seasons. I have to go back and check the marker.   Either way this pepper is ferocious, The heat had the Reaper delay and after a minute I had some...

    pics 2016 Update w/pics

pests Simple tool to help prevent soil loss (Aphid removal Bath)

Necessity is the mother of invention. I had hundreds of aphids on  my two month old seedlings growing inside and had to do something. I regularly spray with homemade insecticide which helps a little but can never really get  the undersides of leaves well.   So I mix up a gallon of the homemade...

    Living Proof Nutrition Helps

    hybrid Nagalah Super cross

I'm very excited with these peppers. I saved seeds from last seasons red nagalah plant primarily because of productivity. It was grown closest to Yellow 7's, Brainstrains, and jolokia. This seasons plants are producing these big heavy blistering gnarly pods some with stiger tails. I'm going to...
