    seeds Automated Seedling Watering System

If they are still under a dome I might suggest some misters on a timer. If not a simple drip system should suffice.

    Resource: Inexpensive Fabric Pots

They work well outside in general.A buddy of mine just chopped an old plant that he got out in the late season. We pulled it from the pot and it was basically all root. Regular watering is not much different than a plastic pot, just slightly more frequent. Not by much though.

    Resource: Inexpensive Fabric Pots

Recently I ordered several sizes of rootpots from greenhousemegastore.com They are easily the least expensive root pouch solution I have found. 2Gal is only 75 cents....   When they first show up they are flattened out and look well...... Crappy. However after several months with my plants in...

pics Do these need repotting? Would love some advice. Pics inside.

Pot up dude. Let those roots grow and the canopy will follow. Canopy size is reflective upon it's root size. Same reason people root prune to keep something small. I always notice that the first week after re potting doesn't always produce growth up top but rather root growth. Then once the...

    seeds Seedlings Keep Dying

Thanks for all the tips.   I made an adjustment. I put my yet to germinate seeds in a smaller propagator and moved it out of the way and moved the 3 remaining seedlings and some that popped up this morning (still just rockwool cubes) into a larger propagator that will accommodate my mini root...

    Topping Your Plants?

Google FIM topping and you will find tons of info. It is very popular in cannabis and I had been curious to try it in other plants to see if it is something that can be used in other applications. Guess it was my little science project.I did it on a pepper and 2 kinds of basil just for curiosity...

    Topping Your Plants?

Gotrox, I tried FIM on a mature Thai dragon that I had cut back about a monthand a half ago. The plant was just starting to bud again and it popped out with 2 new growth shoots and a medium cluster of buds. It's kind of a messy 3 way junction so I am not sure how it is going to space out as it...

help with scorpion pepper, weird pattern on leaves

Looks like leaf miners. I had them on my basil not to long ago. Put up the yellow fly sticky panels to catch the airborne egg laying version of them. Also the Larvae can survive unless burned.    Trim all leaves that have any damage as to not let them spread and regular neem oil treatment did...

Black Coloring on New Growth Base

Thanks everyone. I had not seen this when it was first growing so I was a bit alarmed. I know basil has a disease where it gets s black stripe then dies so just wanted to make sure. Learning a ton this first year!!

    Topping Your Plants?

I cannot comment on FIM for peppers as I have yet to do it. However I know that FIM > topping in the herbal.    About what % of plant matter do you leave when you pinch the growth? I have heard 20-30% but again have not heard about it on peppers.

Black Coloring on New Growth Base

Good afternoon all.   I was checking my Thai Dragon this afternoon and noticed a bunch of black markings at the base of most of my new growth.   The plant was brought indoors after a decent run this summer, but I used it to get my new growroom all dialed in. So I chopped the heck out of it down...

    Topping Your Plants?

From everything I have gathered as it regards to Peppers is that topping only makes sense if you NEED a busier plant. If you are outdoors with no size restrictions, by all means let it ride. If you are indoors like me topping is a must.   Just remember if you top it will take longer to produce...
