seed-train ALL ABOARD THE AUSSIE SEED TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Most definitely plan to sow again this season, if only to have plants to protect over winter and continue from there, so much so I have ordered some special goodies from the US - two of which are Judy's creations I have been waiting for over the last three years !   A perpetual train is quite a...

seed-train ALL ABOARD THE AUSSIE SEED TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Hey All,   I stumbled across this post just today and thought I should raise my hand and ask if the train has well and truly left the station for this year, or there's still an opportunity to catch it ?   Reasoning is two fold:   1) I sowed a fair portion of my stock earlier this year, and it...

Whadya mean chillis have "tails" ?

That's a 7 Pot x Morouga - notice how the tail tapers on the way down though in comparison to the two shots of 7 Pot Primo Orange (followed by chocolate brain strain and sepia serpent for good measure ;) )

Whadya mean chillis have "tails" ?

Nope - but it is in the 7 Pot family.....   My primo's look much more rippled compared to this, and I have some BG7 yellow coming up now that have quite weird top caps.   Not sure what is going on in my garden - I seem to be getting more odd and unusual plants this year.

New camera plus BG7 yellow flower

And now we come to my 7 Pot Primo (Red). What's in the water here ?   This thing looks like it's been fed steroids and is absolutely bursting at the seams with growth. Two photos below:

New camera plus BG7 yellow flower

Hi All,   Decided to update my camera gear from an Canon EOS 60D with Canon 15-85mm f3.5 - 5.6 IS USM lens & Canon 430EXII flash to:   Canon EOS 7D MkII with Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens with Canon 600EX-RT flash.   I decided to point it at one of my BG7 yellow flowers coming along (just...

    vendor Pepper Lover

I just had a look at Judy's site and they cost $2, with *free* shipping .....  Not a big loss if you didn't want to go any further with her, and saying her product isn't special at all could use a bit of clarification as to why    How about some photos showing us the pods from all 4...

    Devil's Horn from Judy

Here's my description of the taste test, but bear in mind I'm no professional on the topic !   Smell - sweet, floral - reminiscent of Passionfruit. My nose felt the burn, especially toward the inside (septum), even though I really didn't get the perception of heat from the smell.   Taste -...

    Devil's Horn from Judy

These pods were picked about 1/2 hour ago and have ripened VERY slowly over the last few weeks, but the size and colour are both pretty good !

Those wee-tackers aren't C.Chinense are they !!   Here's a pic of my light-box with my all Chinese seedlings of just one month old today:     Only just potted them up from Jiffy Pellets yesterday afternoon because the roots were absolutely...

    Lucy & Katie - a question

Hi All,   I've been looking around into the 7 pot world to see what's new (at least to me), and while I am growing the Lucy, I just came across Katie - hadn't heard of that one.   A quick search here provides some bit's and pieces of info but I do see a claimed SHU rating that puts it on par...

WTT for hybrids of BG7 or Reaper

Hi All,   Just wondering if anybody happens to have any hybrids of the BG7 or Reaper at F3 or later available for trade ?   (I'm not sure if such are at F3 by now, so please forgive my ignorance! )   If interested, please have a look at my profile lists and let me know. If there's nothing there...

My first Carolina Reaper (ever), but ...

Here's what things ended up like, with the first plant of interest in my raised garden bed producing the left pod, and the others (with two having inverted tails ?!) from my plant in the ground.   Remember, both were from the same supplier.

Calayx of the BG7 - how long until it changes ?

Hi Ocho,   Here's two pics. The first is from the oldest pod on the plant (which is now getting soft while I wait for the calayx to turn ....):     Here's the second, showing a newly ripened fruit:   All pods look pretty much the same - no problems there !   Does this help ?   Thanks,   Tim
