I am sorry but I have been so busy this year, that pepper gardening took a back seat. I spent over an hour today picking this batch. The bag weighed about 0.3 oz so this is like 1 lb 2.5 oz worth of charapitas. Rich, your plant is insane. Congrats! Excellent job!

Update on my Aji Charapita. Looks like I could have used that fencing around the pot as some of the lower branches look kinda weak... Second pic is a top down-ish viewpoint. I see one singular ripe pepper.

Yes! Striped Cucumber Beetle! I have seen them and actually smooshed a couple. Ok, now I got a victim. Gotta look up videos on how to get rid of them. Thanks!

I thought I saw this previously, but I am having a hard time finding similar pics so I am posting it. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows what kind of pest causes this type of leaf damage and if there is any known way of removing this pest from my environment. Thanks!

Huh, look at that. First pepper. Still very small. Starting out looking very Aji Charapita-ish.

My chosen plant for the growdown. Still hoping it is not a cross. Got a stake on it now, not pictured. I do not have containers the size of Rich Blood's containers but I will give it a go.

My Aji Charapitas for the growdown are getting bigger, but I would bet by now, Rich's are bigger than these.

Update on the mutants. I have 3 cells that germinated, two of the cells had mutants so I culled non-mutants from them. The third cell was non-mutant.

I sowed 8 seeds, 3 popped. I got very lucky. Not sure why. Here is a pic of the plants currently.

Damn, mine are not 8" tall and branching. Still small. I guess I need to start making an effort. :P

Rich, No way would I try to pull a fast one on anyone. I don't believe I mixed up the seeds, but I am willing to post pics and hopefully in a couple of months we will see plants that are Aji Charapitas and we can restock your seeds with them.

Now I am thinking that I got a different batch of seeds. Here is another one popping in another cell. Something is wrong.

So, I use the Park Seed Bio Dome's to start seeds and I usually put more than one seed in each cell. What you see in this pic (I am horrible at taking pictures) is one non-mutant and two mutants. The seeds were labelled "non-mutant". I have two other cells and it is happening in one of them...
