    lighting T5 Lights

I have 45x 4' T5 8 bulb assemblies in our indoor grow operation. I had problems with an online hydroponics shop shorting me on a big light order last year, so I chanced this vendor on Amazon at the last minute to keep my 2018 grow on track.  ...

    Pepper seeds

Still got a lot of seed inventory here. THP forum members can use THPSEEDS to get 66% off (which is basically $1 per pack). USPS will be cheapest shipping option.   These were open pollinated at the farm last year so some variance should be expected.  (2019 grow for seed will be 100% isolated)  ...

Well, it's finally time to start. Again. :)   Finished taking inventory of seeds today, and started the 2019 grow list. Since the 24x96' isolation high tunnel is done, I'll be growing a crazy long list this year, as we'll be growing for 2020 seed inventory. With the soil mix equipment, it should...

    seeds Old seed question

So I have some seeds set aside from 4 years ago, and I'm kind of curious how viable they would still be. They were stored in plastic bags in a cupboard indoors, so temp would have been stable at 70F and no UV or sunlight exposure whatsoever.    Anyone grow from old seed stock before? If so...

    2018 - The Farm

Well, I've been gone a few years from the board, and away from growing peppers, but looks like life is pushing me back that way again.    I recently (last month) closed on a 25 acre farm in Central Illinois with some primo soil, and I'm going to give a commercial grow a test run.        From...

Trent's 2015 Grow Log (potting soil probs solved!)

Well, off to an early start this year.    I'm planting left over seeds from last year, to start, so I'm putting them in a little early just in case some don't pop.   Sorting last year's stash I kept tucked away from Pepperlover     And the first tray of 2015     I didn't plant any Nagas this...

    Disease ID Help

Need help ID'ing this one.   I've confirmed it spreads by contact. Spots on leaves. Not 'nute related as it hit plants in completely different soil mixes.     Stem shown (after pruning, noticed dark spots on the stems)

    Giving away plants

I have *way* too many pepper plants this year ... which forum would be appropriate for posting a list of what I'd like to give away, and what are the rules about doing so?

    Isolation Help

I'd like to keep some of my plants isolated this year, but unsure how. (By some, I mean 50 different cultivars...)  All of my plants will be moving outside in about a month. I'll have around 100 in the ground and another 40 or so in pots. Would like to know if there is a method with a minimal...

Trent's 2014 Grow Log - COLD COLD COLD

Figure I'll keep track 2014 on here. At least then all my data will be in one place instead of scattered around on slips of paper.   First; PSA.   I'll *never* use the Jiffy starting pods / soil again.   I lost 95% of the plants in these two trays:     The roots wouldn't form. They couldn't get...

    Hello from Illinois! (Pics)

My name is Trent, and I have a hot pepper addiction. :)   I'm a grower in Illinois. Started growing "normal" peppers about 5 years ago and gradually got in to the more rare / ultrahot stuff. Also a beginner hot sauce maker (made a few bottles last year).   I've been lurking on this website this...
