    Hi from bonnie Scotland!!!

Welcome from sunny Glasgow! It's been a belter of a year for hots and superhots this year, I've always struggled to get anything over the size of a 5p, but putting them outside the greenhouse for the wind to pollinate them has helped massively. Keep us updated on your progress Sent from my...

chinense Chocolate Bhutlah DM vs Black Bhutlah SLP

I've not seen any other reputable websites selling them, none that I'd trust anyway. I think I'll try to germinate both next year and see which is more successful Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

chinense Chocolate Bhutlah DM vs Black Bhutlah SLP

Reading their website it seems they sell the original grown by Steven McLaurin. The DM is the previous strain selectively bred by Dave Minor, growing the largest and hottest pods he found. The SLP is a darker coloured strain found by a grower named Christopher Phillips. Google helped me out...

chinense Chocolate Bhutlah DM vs Black Bhutlah SLP

If you were to grow one of these varieties next year which would you choose? Which would be hotter, tastier and gnarlier? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Bad peppers

Farmers market Jalapeno. Sure, they look unique but there was no heat in them at all, and the texture when eating was horrible because of all the corking. Peperoncini as well, no heat in these either and pretty much useless from a culinary standpoint. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Hello from not so sunny Scotland!

Is that the one at Partick Cross, hyndland Road? Funnily enough the 27th is my birthday, so I'll probably be about! It'll be good to meet a fellow local heat freak. I'll do you a sauce swap. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    pod Supposed Black Congo/Chocolate Habanero

Thanks guys. The mustard hab might be the one! I've been frantically googling and it really could be anything, my guess is either mustard, Cappucino or red Caribbean habanero. Time will tell I guess!

    pod Supposed Black Congo/Chocolate Habanero

I need some help guys. I have what is supposed to be a chocolate habanero but as you can see it has a very non-habanero shape to it, and the colour looks way way too light a green compared to other pictures I've seen. Does anyone have any clues? I'll post more pics once I have some ripen.

    Dorset Naga - flower drop

I had the same problem this year with an overwintered Dorset Naga, I think it had various problems though. It eas quite root bound by the end of summer, that mixed with it starting to flower really early meant it dropped a hell of a lot. Wait it out and hopefully it'll come around

    chinense Heat without the "Chinense"

I'm by no means an expert, and I've never grown them...but I think Rocotos (Pubescens) are up there for heat level. Along with some of the Aji's, which are Baccatum.

Excuse my ignorance, but arent the chocolate hab, chocolate congo and black congo all one and the same? What differences are there? I cant answer your question though, this is my first year growing a couple of chocolate/browns

    How soon is too soon?

Yeah thats another factor, I'm hoping the new propogator will speed up germination time. Im planning on potting them into 3 gallon pots in early spring.

    How soon is too soon?

Hi guys! Im conflicted here and I need your help! I'm in Scotland UK, which suffice to say doesnt have the best weather. Because of that I was thinking of sowing my superhots earlier than others, on the 1st of November. I'll be sowing them in a variable heated propogator then popping them under...

What pepper are you trying today? P.O.D.

Just picked my first red scotch bonnet grown from seeds of a supermarket chilli. Not as ripe on the inside as it seemed on the outside. I was expecting a nice sweet taste, all I got was a typical bell pepper taste. The heat was about right, good creeping burn but nothing amazing. Safe to say...
