2019 Fresh In Shell Pecans!

I know it's not peppers, but with the holidays pecans are very popular to use so figured some may be interested. I've got over a hundred pounds all ready to go with more falling everyday.

Fun Fact: My great grandpaw planted these trees many years before I was even thought of.

They'll last for a year in the shell, or a year in the freezer.

I let most of mine fall on the ground this year. The squirrels are fat though, lol. I might have to harvest one of those

We've got 5 trees, and they are just everywhere. Tons of them all over the place. I cracked a bunch last night, and plan to make some pralines tomorrow.

I have 3 trees ... All Kanza.  They are close to 25 years old and produce like crazy.  They are located between what I call squirrel "town" and my garden.  All squirrels headed towards my garden are distracted by the pecan trees and never make it to my garden.  It works well.   :banghead:

Nice! Mine are smaller pecans, I think the Kansa variety.
