It's never too early to get started!

Sooo... 2022 season is over and most of my 2023 plants are already there - no reason not to start a new thread already! 😃

While all my current plants are technically overwinterers, only a couple have grown through the 2022 season and are considered interesting enough to keep for next seasons grow.

Let's start with the famous Schneider farms SB plant, which will be going into it's third season in 2023. It currently doesn't look all that nice but that was also the case during the winter of 2021 so no worries here...

Next in row is my Scotch Brains plant...

And then there's the Humble Servants Homestead (HSH) SB, which was also elected to stay for next season...

Dang, I ordered a couple of seed packs from THSC this weekend... yes, I know, it's sad (Seed Acquisition Disorder)...

But what really scares me is that, contrary to what I'm used to from THSC, I received a TRACKING CODE! That may very well mean that the envelope will pass through customs and I'll have to pay taxes and handling costs! đŸ„¶ Dang Neil, what did you do to me! â˜č That's another €20 or so!

đŸ€« Don't tell anybody! I just put another six varieties in the soil!...
  • Orange blob
  • Fatalii
  • Orange fatalii
  • Carbonero
  • Kraken scorpion orange
  • 7pot nebru (again as the previous attempt failed)
I'm keeping them at room temperature without heat mat. Germination may take a bit longer this way...

So I already have a total of 8 plants going for next season.

I normally try to limit my grow to a maximum of 10 plants although usually there will be a couple more.

I do not want to make the mistake I made last season with starting too many different varieties and then having to conclude that I don't have enough room for all of them.

I'll have to be very careful in deciding which varieties to add to fill the remaining spots.

Wait, who's glog is this? It's like I am looking in a mirror. đŸ„° I love my THP tribe.

You people are making me crazy! đŸ€ȘđŸ„Ž

Now that I think of it... I could also add the the red hab seeds that I got from PaulG a couple of seasons back, they deserve to be grown also! 😉

I'll just have to keep the plants sized down. Letting them grow all the way is unthinkable with the room I have...

Have you grown any red scotch bonnets before?

...and there you have it... just received a message that I have to pay a fee of 19.74 euros for import of a couple of measly seeds...
