It's never too early to get started!

Sooo... 2022 season is over and most of my 2023 plants are already there - no reason not to start a new thread already! 😃

While all my current plants are technically overwinterers, only a couple have grown through the 2022 season and are considered interesting enough to keep for next seasons grow.

Let's start with the famous Schneider farms SB plant, which will be going into it's third season in 2023. It currently doesn't look all that nice but that was also the case during the winter of 2021 so no worries here...

Next in row is my Scotch Brains plant...

And then there's the Humble Servants Homestead (HSH) SB, which was also elected to stay for next season...

They don't... it's a fixed amount regardless of the cost of the package. Even for something that you get for free they charge you. It's not import fee but "handling" while they don't actually do anything with it...

In the mean time we had some nightly freeze. I guess the old schneider farms SB that I put outside will be toast now...
Wow. The hits keep coming today. Glad you have a backup!
It's a hidden "tax" to keep BPost alive.
Not sure whether this post should get a đŸ¤Ŗ or 😡. Probably the latter. What a pain just to order some seeds that aren't available locally.

Actual taxes is just 2.24 euros, the rest is a fixed amount they charge for handling. And if for some reason the package is refused you do not get a refund...

I just don't understand how they decide on the taxes for à closed envelope. If we EU members band together and order seeds for 300 euros, would the taxes still be the same?

Might be panic talking, I had plans ordering with THSC for next season. 😀

Already talked to them about this. You can ask them to send the seeds as a post card. That's how they used to do it in the past. In fact, when the European import rules changed I asked them if they send their seeds in an unmarked envelope and they assured me they always send as a postcard... until now apparently 🙄
