i planted some pepper seeds on the 15 of May and now 6 days later they have emerged just jalapenos, bells, cayennes, and tabscos is this kinda of fast ? i never used a dome/humidity cover just my light set-up... well anyways i am a happy camper these will go directly to the sun now as they just came up today i may harden them of a little bit but not to much or should i do a two week hardening... answer i need answers lol thanks folks you are the greatest.... well some of you HA HA J/K

I'd wait till their first true leaves have formed that way you know enough roots have formed, then transplant into 3" pot. Place them somewhere protected and out of noon day sun for a while. In a couple of weeks you should have nice plants to plant out in your garden.

I would wait until the plants have several sets of leaves. Getting new roots to take hold is the biggest challenge in transplanting. You can have the strongest stem and largest leaves on can imagine but if those roots don't dig into the soil and provide nutrients, that plant is headed to the compost pile.

agree with both PRF and Wiz on this one...what is your ground temperature up there?...

6 days is good for annuums (jalapeno, bells, and cayennes)...seems my tabascos came up rather quickly but I don't remember exactly...

dangit...had to look it up...time from plant to sprout...

jalapenos 3-6 days, Bell 8-11 days, Cayenne 4-8 days, Tabasco 2-8 days....

I second, third and fourth that... Wait until you have at least two sets of true leaves. When these babies are that small they are very, very easily sun burnt. If you have a window sill that you can fit them on that would be better. This way you can harden them off in a more controlled way without risking burning your precious crop...
