Whats the average and high SHU for this chili? What does it taste like?
Would you say it's hotter than a bhut jolokia?President Trump said:I think that you will find answers that vary for the SHU but it seems to be a bit over 1,000,000.
As far as taste, I don't know how you really determine the taste of a super hot. There is a little bit of flavor for about fifteen seconds then the flavor is pain.
It's waaay hotter than a bhut in my opinion.charlie5heen said:Would you say it's hotter than a bhut jolokia?
What would you rate the bhut from 1-10, and what about the brain from 1-10?austin87 said:It's waaay hotter than a bhut in my opinion.
What do you think about the brain's taste?mpicante said:The Brain 7 is way hotter than the Bhut, but I've had a few really hot ghost peppers.A whole lot of variables involved in getting hot pods. One more thing SUPERHOTS attack from different angles so to speak so it's best to try as many as can handle and decide which if any you like or would plan to grow.
I too received a Red Brain pod from Mike several years ago and it was extremely hot so much so that I remember it to this day.austin87 said:The red brainstrain from Wicked Mike was absolutely the hottest pepper I ate this year and the hottest thing I've ever eaten. That includes reapers and scorpions. So I'd give it a 10+. It was violently hot.
I'd probably give a bhut a 7 or 8.
Mike Hess grows some pretty hot Brainstrains too. Not sure if you've tried one or not?mpicante said:I too received a Red Brain pod from Mike several years ago and it was extremely hot so much so that I remember it to this day.
Yeah I guess, I think I'll just take your advice.mpicante said:I honestly believe you should just grow both varieties out if they interest you because 100 people will give their opinions and yet you still will not have a clue about the heat and flavor. You have to order pods and conduct your own test or maybe someone can send you a few to try.Different strokes for different folks.Best to try them yourself. In conclusion both types hot and tasty.

charlie5heen said:How do you guys think it compares to the 7 pot bubblegum heat and flavor wise. I am about to grow both and I wanna know info from people who have tasted both or either, and thanks for the replies.
