frutescens A wild peach C.frutescens. Superb!!!

I`ve been lucky enough to eat a number of great C.frutescens in 2013, but this one is certainly in the top 3, maybe even top 2. And what a great colour!

It`s a typical frutescens, but in the very best ways. Typical soft flesh, tougher skin, but in this case the flavors are just beautiful. Very fruity, with a slight green undercurrent and lots of sugar in the skins. It`s a great frutescens, but more so. Again, typically, it has a mouthfeel reminiscent of heirloom tomatoes. Delicious!

The heat is also typical of C.frutescens. The lovely warming, black peppery great feeling heat that only frutescens seem to have.

Nice one.
Another to add to my non-existant mega acreage.

Only found one other listing for CGN 22184, and it looked yellow and more roundish.

But who really knows?

Wild Peach sounds good to me.
