seeds ? About climate zone and starting seeds

Hi all,

Need some helps understanding climate zone and and when to start my seeds.

I live in Orange county zone 8.

When should I start my seeds indoor/outdoor?

use this site and click on california a new window will pop up and in the top left side you enter your zip code and validate an it will tell you. but looking at the map it says orange is a 10a or 10b
I started most of mine in december and some in january

Yup, you're right. Im in zone 10b.

look at your average last frost date, then back up 8-10 weeks for chinense and 6-8 weeks for annuums...

Oc and well really any climate you can start yr round indoors. As for oc specific you can start moving seedlings outdoors for hardining now and transplant outdoora in a month or so. Basically when its above 75f on average is ok.
