Adding Sulfur

I have a couple of plants that are yellowish instead of a healthy green. I checked the pH and found the soil to be on the alkaline side. I know one way to lower the number is to add sulfur. Will it do any good to sprinkle some pelletized sulfur on the top of the soil and try to water it in?

Are there any other ways to raise the acidity?

Thanks gang.

Thanks RichardK. I'll keep that in mind. How long does it take to see any difference?

You're always coming to the rescue for me man, I appreciate that.

Could take a few days to a week, it depends on how alkaline the soil is.
