Agribon vs Cheesecloth

Well I was looking at agribon to isolate plants once I plant them but was amazed by the price. Anyway, I was thinking, couldn't a guy buy a roll of cheesecloth and sew some bags to place over individual plants or to make a cage for a group of plants?
Does anyone know about what percentage of sunlight would make it through? How about keeping bugs out and pollen in? Think it would be fine enough?
Or, does anyone have a less expensive alternative to agribon?

I have been looking at Tulle fabric as last year many mentioned it and I never got some.
