Another stunner from Ajijoe.
The size, color and shape of this one are pretty spectacular, IMHO. Obviously a cross between a Habanero and a Trinidad Scorpion, the initial aroma is very much Scorpion-like. Probably fruiter than a regular Trinidad Scorpion, but strongly similar, nonetheless.
The flavor is great. Fairly sweet, juicy and very fruity, with a dilute Scorpion flavour that fits together really nicely. The heat, however, is all Scorpion. This is a pretty hot pod. It isn`t TS Butch T-hot, but very definitely it is around Trinidad Red Scorpion levels. The heat was initially tongue and the sides of my tongue, but it also migrated to the back of my throat. It came on like a train and fried my tongue. Nice!!!
All in all, a really cool variety with great flavor and very decent heat. Nice one Joe!!!
