Another Lantern-type from Ajijoe. Good on yer, mate!!!
I enjoyed this one a great deal. The aroma is very fresh and fruity, with a hint of that certain C.chinense floral smell.
There flavour is sweet and fruity. The flesh has that similar quality of biting into a real fresh tomato you just picked off the plant, leaving that same kind of mouthfeel. While there is a hint of C.chinense flavor, the overall flavour of the pepper is just extremely fresh.
The heat hits in a big rush, then diminishes rapidly, leaving you wanting more. At it`s peak the heat is just above that of a cayenne pepper, but it`s a much smoother burn than any C.annuum.
Really nice flavor profile and not so much heat make this one a great intermediate pepper for use in all sorts of cooking, plus salads and any way it would be eaten raw.
Where am I going to put all my plants in 2014?
