I still have to find a piece or two of Mylar to stick on the front, but for the most part my experiment tomato grow chamber is done. It is 4x4 feet, three (and soon to be four walls) are lined with 2 Mylar and a 400 watt HPS light, supposedly with extra blue and violet capabilities is hanging from the ceiling. I want to grow six indeterminate tomato plants in it, hopefully starting in February.
Being AR, I had to check the amount of light the plants will get. I base everything on mols, a way to measure the daily PAR light a plant recieves. At the edges, it will take 15 hours a day. The center needs far less. Thinking while typing, I'm wondering if what I may need to do is one day pull the light almost all the way to the left, the next day, to the right.
Tis a good thing this is an experiment!
