Alternative to YouTube?

To workaround YouTube's forced down-rezzing of my video, I'm attempting to embed a .mp4 movie in a post. It's already hosted in my DropBox public folder, and the link opens a new window and streams nicely. What I don't have the knowledge to do is embed an index image in the post, a la YouTube...
