Another pepper id thread

My girlfriend brought 6 of these home from the store today. They had them labeled as giant hot pepper. They are in the range of a mild hab in heat and very meaty with black seeds. Any ideas as to what they are?

Yep, first of all it's C. pubescens. There are lots of different Rocotos and Manzanos so it's hard to be 100% correct

I second milkworkman without the question mark......

Definately an orange Manzano/Rocoto...The flesh and black seeds are a dead give away...

Aji Largo has black seeds too... :cry:

Yeah because they are classed as a type of Rocoto. But from memory the Aji Largo's are a longer chilli and not short and rounded like the above chilli

Thanks for the info. At least I know a little more about it, cuz I know you cant always tell what a specific pepper is down to name but at lweast I'm closer now.
