sun Any negative effects of sun burn

Besides crisped or yellow burnt dots is there any substantial effects sunburning can causs?

Such as stuned growth
Slow root production

Etc...
 
Depends on the severity of the sun burn, but stunted growth is possible along with leaf loss. One of my plants got burned pretty good this yr :(
