Anybody heard from AJ Drew in a while?

I've done my part to keep you busy. I don't buy peppers anywhere else since the prices are great. I've told several friends where to order them and they're watching the site too.

I'm not sure why though. I guess I'm just hoping mother nature will go into overdrive and fresh pods will be available before July. Lol

Hotpepper - I would love to send you a box of my new and experimental stuff this fall.  If not for your membership, I would not have the nerve to have put so much into the efforts.  Back in the day and not just with peppers, trading seeds and getting opinions on variants and crosses was fun.  Then for one reason or another, peppers went all frigging crazy.  People accusing each other of ripping off their strains and accusing reviewers of ripping off their latest seeds.  On THP, folk remain casual and sincerely interested in helping each other out.  It is like the hot pepper time machine.  If you dont know about the Mortgage Lifter tomato, give it google to see what I mean about the way things were.

Ghaleon - This is an example of why I try not to post when taking pain medication.  Too much 'I love you man' and emotions.  Here goes:

Thank you.  I turn 53 this year.  Not saying I am going to drop over dead any moment.  But Peppers by Mail is likely my last major effort to provide for my family.  Been on social security disability for about a decade.  Stroke like event.  Today, I am completely off the cash benefit thanks to patrons like you, folk willing to give a guy a chance.  I still use Medicare, but if you saw my medical bills you would understand.  Let me put it another way, if not for people like you I would probably be in a nursing home eating oatmeal.  Not rolling in money or anything, but see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Its not just that folk like you purchase the product.  That is great.  But that alone wouldnt have made much of a difference because we do not have an advertising budget or news paper articles focused on our latest gimmick pepper.  Most we have ever done is purchase banners here at THP.  Its the spreading of the word, the links to our site, the mentions in various places.  Its also forgiving me when I screw a thing up.  Last year, had lots of orders for the First Frost Sale that went unfilled because the frost came after some orders were placed.  Offered refunds and other options, lots of patrons said send it in the spring when new peppers came in.  They trusted me even thought they dont really know me.  Made me feel great.

I read about but dont talk much of the scammers and low quality peppers that some folk send.  I know what is out there.  For what ever reason, ,folk like you trust me.  Not to be screw up free, but to fix screw ups when they happen.  It is heart warming.

I should shut up now.  Plant out should be done in a couple weeks.  Wont need as much medication then and will make more sense.

Your site does a great job of conveying that you're a family business with a passion for what you do. Your prices are awesome and when you reply, it's an actual thought out reply rather than something that feels automated.

I can't emphasize how much it sucks to put a lot of thought into an email and get one back that makes it obvious that nobody even read it.
