I have grown it, but I never use ornamentals in food. IMHO, they are bred for looking, not for tasting. All the ones I've tasted have been hot and bitter.

I appreciate the replies. I should have disclosed that I am fully aware they are bred more for looks than usage. I have tried/used ornamentals before, usually as dried or powder with differing results, just haven't tried this one yet. I normally don't have high expectations for them lol, but just wondering if I could use the same way I use thai/bird/birdseye peppers in making my food(Indian).
