Anyone else found chocolate perfume peppers?

I'm beginning to have second thoughts about the douglah I have. I planted 3 perfume, 3 douglah and 3 peach ghost last year, and one of them got mixed up and just now started making brown pods. I thought it was douglah, but when I had one today the heat was only there in a sense that I knew where the pepper had been in my mouth rather than any recognizable burn. It also tasted like perfume peppers did. Sorry that I won't be posting pics, but it's a winter pod so it has the same shape as any other one. I'll be eating more of them in spring to verify that the full size ones have no heat either, although winter pods usually have the same heat the full grown ones do.

i never have seen chocolate ones but im growing the yellow trinidad this year

could just be a brown phenotype

very interesting how did they taste compared to the yellow??

Not that different. The one I had was a little bit more bitter, with a sweet aftertaste, but i'd have to have a yellow one and a brown at the same time to really tell you.

I have had winterpods with no or almost no heat. On plants that were plenty hot the summer before.
