14 days and nothing do some strains take longer then others? , I was told orange habanero took forever but those were up in 7 days.

pretty variable depending on how seeds were stored, if you do a soak, what temp, etc
 
14 days is starting to be pretty long, i would give up at 20-30 days.

I think some strains can take longer then others, but more often than not its the individual seeds that take longer/shorter depending on the factors mentioned above.
 
iv germd a few barrakpores..i forget how long they took..but for me its not uncommon for some seeds to take a month or longer to germ.
 
I think its the particular seed being difficult not the type of plant

14 days is not long. Some can take 4-5 weeks to germinate, Brown Bhuts usually take that long, for example.
It can also depend on how dry is the seed, too dry and its slower to germinate.

Some can take 40+ days.
