I like the MH bulb - a bunch. It is kicking the LED panel's behind so far - the plants are probably 25 percent bigger in just a week. And I'm not sure if HPS is needed for tomatoes as they don't use photoperiods to start blooming. But the combo bulb offers some red/orange the MH lacks and I wonder if this would contribute to heavier fruit production. Five pounds of tomatoes would be about 10-12 blooms that convert to fruit. It would also make about a $500 difference in revenue if I'm raising 56 plants.
