breeding Are Peter peppers hybrids?

They supposedly are a species of C. annuum var. annuum and were originally native to Louisiana and Texas.

I completely agree on this one. Out of 4 plants that were FULL of peppers, I only ended up with maybe a handful that actually looked like they claimed. I guess the pictures they advertise with are selected from hundreds of peppers for the best looking ones. Flavor was horrid too, I wont be growing them again, ever.
