chinense Are these 2 different types of Bhuts

I bought a mixed box of Bhuts. Some of the red were round, others were long.

Are these different strains, or could they have come from the same plant.

I only care for my own seed collection process, as I don't know whether I should bother to separate the seeds from the different pods.

You can get alot of different pod shapes from the same plant. Sometimes, if something happens to the plant stress wise, it will cause small round or odd shaped pods that ripen very fast. I have seen it with jalapenos , and many others. Taste them, if the heat and flavor are the same there is a good chance yes. But I would never save seeds from a pod that is mutated .

Oh ok. They don't look like they are from the same plant. The second pepper looks like some sort of 7 pot.

It is pretty common for pepper companies to through an extra treat in with orders. I imagine that this is one of those.
