Are these carpet beetles?

Is that a sucker thing under it's head?
I don't remember the name for the sucking thing.
If so it's a harmfull insect.
Bugs that suck plant juices spread diseases.

Usually if it's a sucking bug, you'll see small black dots on your plant where it ate before on the stems.

I don't really know if it's sucking... I had thought it was indeed the Varied carpet beetle but can't seem to find any info if it's actually a problem or not.

Looks like a carpet beetle to me. They mostly eat dead fiberous things so unless they run out of other food, probably won't bother your plants. Generally if you see a beetle that eats plants, on a plant, you see the damage too which is often cuts across leaves.

Yes I believe so.  They were after the pollen off my Blackfoot Daisy plants last year.  If you have flowering blooms I would be concerned.

Good luck!
