Well with our growing season coming to an end our winter squash is coming into season. Such a Yummy time. As far as spicy this time the sausage is jalapeno home grown by my sister locally and the cheese is a blend with pepper jack and cheddar. A tiny bit of chili powder was used as well but still very mild as to not over power the sweetness of the squash.
I start by freshly deseeding them then nuking them for 3 min in the microwave with butter or likewise product in the hollow.
While I am doing this on the skillet I cook the sausage.
Then I stuff them with the sausage first then the cheese.
Then it is in the oven baking at 350 for 30 to 45 min depending on the size. With the finished product looking like this.
