Not alot of progress so far...tomato's sprouted way faster than i expected so i put them next to the window.
Some peppers sprouted too but not alot of action there..but its only been 7 days

Gave 3 peppers a bigger home today
Tomatoes look a bit leggy but i already repotted them a little deeper ( grew and germinated way faster than i expected ) but they seem happy for now

Some seeds didnt make it...couple helmet heads that i couldnt fix.
Still a few hanging on for dear life.

Already bought a bigger propagator that can hold 128 seedlings

Planting some more tomorrow in the big one and see how that goes

Also transplanted 3 little ones from the smaller prop

What kind of app are you using? As far as I can see you can keep track of sowing date, germination and repotting? That's kind of interesting. I use one of those paper books, but get easily side tracked by having to turn the pages.

I frequently watch Chillichump on Youtube, he has alot of interesting videos on there.
He also created the seedsio website, its really easy to use and i dont have to use paper any more.
I use just the most basic functions because i dont need the rest yet..but you can make it as basic as you want, or go wild and use every function available

I've had a quick look and it really seems well thought out. The idea of having an NFC tag on your planter thingy (plantensteker in Dutch, to lazy to google it atm) is something I could see myself using. Putting this on my next year to try list.

Alot of green stuff on my new sprouts the last couple days..could it hurt the seedlings? Do i need to transfer into new soil?

Can anyone tell me why they keep curling ?
I already hardly water them...adjusted the light several times but they wont bounce back..what am i doing wrong here?
They look somewhat healthty...should i be concerned?

I bottom water most of the time but only every couple days and only a little bit, the only time they get a full soak is when i transplant.

its a seed starting mix, used it for the first time because its lighter and more "fluffy"..i unfortunately dont have access to the good stuff unless i order through Amazon and thats costing me a fortune with shipping..but im happy so far with this mix

My best guess - which is just a guess - is that the seed starting mix is most or all peat and it's clumping around the roots. I can see the surface puckering as it dries. Often this is addressed by increasing the percentage of perlite in the mix as the container size gets larger; starting with little or none in a very small container and getting up to significant percentages in larger containers. I wouldn't attempt to solve this with perlite though. If I were experiencing this I'd simply repot the plants using a container soil with lesser absorption and better drainage. That will allow you to water thoroughly when you water - and perhaps even watering more often - without leaving the roots in an ongoing saturated condition, which I suspect is the problem here.

Are the containers still heavy at all when then look dry on top or are they very light?

I do have some black containers with better drainage holes, i can try tomorrow
Should i mix this starter mix with some other soil ?

the containers i now use i can feel the difference between moist and dry pretty good
dont feel light at all so im afraid im under watering right now

ill try the other containers tomorrow morning and see how that works
