Bhut Jolokia Issues

My 2 plants seem to be doing crappy. Ones still not even flowering. The other flowered and I now have only 4 pods, but it stopped flowering. The pods are know becoming discolored. Does it look like sun scald or maybe something else?

My Bhut's look the same way.
I've also seen that on other varieties of peppers.
I think it is just the pepper getting ready to change colors/ripen.
Anyone know differently?

Yep.
It's a pigment formed to screen wavelengths from the blue end. a way to avoid burns.

That's a very mild suntan. Many of my pods are solid purple on over half of the pod. Definitely nothing to be concerned about.

BTW, did you receive the seed?

Basically the same as when the top half of my Aji or Rocotos turns black and then move on to being bright red the next week, right? That's what I was hoping. I thought they had a disease at first. Thanks guys.

Nope, not the same at all. This has nothing to do with ripening. I've got several plants that the pods are totally purple and have been for quite a while.
