Why are leaves on Loco pepper plant turning black? Even stems are blackening. Is this just a variety thing or sunburn?

Like I said it is a Loco pepper plant
Could go either way.
It's a hybrid,your plant looks happy.
Might be the sun but might not be.
I see a lot of pics online with semi purple tinted leaves.
Might just be your plant.
More purple...
Yours looks healthy,I'd keep doing what you are doing.
If things change-leaf drop or whatever I'd get worried.
Your pic shows a nice looking plant/plants, as far as I can see.
Don't kill it with kindness.

Her seeds might not/probably are not the problem.
It IS a hybrid to begin with - stable or not.
IF you wanted a PURE Loco you should have gotten seeds from a respected source.
Not blame Grandma for her giving you the seeds you are growing.
