I have a question for those of you who grow Black Seaman. Last year someone on this forum send me seeds, and for the first year, I put them in pots as a trial. The results were awesome, and we loved the taste of these Black Seaman. I kept seeds and this year I planted them in full soil. The result is a plant standing 6 ft tall, and pretty good sized tomatoes, my guess close to a lb. However, this year the tomatoes are not turning black. They are light green with dark green on the shoulder, and they are turning red.
I googled for the name and found many pages with Black Seaman tomatoes, not being black. One example:
