I discovered this pod today on one of my plats I have in the ground. You can see up by the stem looks like may have been damaged by strong winds which may have caused the rot at the blossom end of the pepper. I have looked through all the other pods and plants and everything looks fine. I just hope this was is an isolated incedent.
I also decided to try a piece up near the stem where you can see the oil had started to form and my mouth is still burning.
Decided to keep the pod to eat even though its a bit green tasting.
