bone meal

my local wal mart doesnt sell bone meal anymore =/

so i was wondering, would it be alright if i were to dissolve calcium tablets into a watering can?
and if so, about what would the measurements be?

Not sure. But you should check the local nurseries (plant, not baby) for bone meal first. I just found some myself at a local place.

I know some people use antacids for calcium but I'm not sure of the dosage, and there is no phosphorous like in bone-meal

Call them and ask if they have it, they might even ship it for less than it would cost to drive there. That is often true for me who live at the end of the world.

Another place to check is a feed store for livestock in your area. I have found it to be cheaper than anywhere alse on alot of things for my plants

how bout cooking some bones in a pressure cooker for a nice meat stock and then making your own bone mash with the left overs?
