Bought a dehydrator

Bought a dehydator last winter. I just tried drying a few of my peppers to
try it out. I will be drying some more. In the picture is Trinidad Perfume,
Lemon Drop, Beni Highlands & Costeno Amarillo Mix and the red one is
Chilhaucle Rojo. I'm going to try making habanero power next. It's
really cool to make powder. I just need to find out which peppers make
the best tasting powder. Any suggestions?

The best part is tasting them to find out.

+1 on that. I just started making my own seasonings as well. It's fun trying which ones taste better, how long you have to dry them to get them to taste better, etc. LOVE IT!!!

It's a lot of fun. I just wish I had a bigger coffee grinder. Nice thing about powders
is that you can add just what you can handle. I just made some Northern beans today
with ham, onions, fresh sweet pepper and some of my hot pepper powder. All I can
say is YUMMMMM...My tolerance for hot peppers is not as good as others. I tried
a piece of a fatalli pepper today, and it wasn't too bad until I felt a funny feeling
in the center of my chest(heartburn feeling). I sat down and took a couple sips
of milk, went away right away. I don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. I
have a frozen gallon of these in the freezer. Going to make hot sauce in the winter.
Hot peppers intrigue me, such interesting shapes, colors and flavors.
