brainstorming

just wondering if this could be done & cheaply.
make an indoor hydro system (just a couple plants) that ran off solar powered panels & when not enough it'll run off your house power & also excess electricity would be stored in a battery that the system would also drain power from.

I know there wouldnt be enough power to run everything (lights) but maybe the pump or at least cutdown on some the electricity used.

another is "lighter fluid" thats pretty much safe gardenwise aint it ? as long as its washed away, right ?

This is perfectly possible but not inexpensive. $3-5/watt for capital expense.
A small hydro pump will use 40 watts.
