Branch broke off under the weight of pods

A large side branch broke clean off of one of my peppers. Is there anything in particular I need to do or will the plant still be fine without the branch? Considering how much people cut back when they overwinter I assume it's np?

Its no problem. If the pods are unripe, you can stick the branch in a cup/ bucket and the pods will ripen. If you do so, make sure you keep it in a cool shaded area. Last year, i put one in the house on the window seal.

Thanks for the response. I heard placing peppers in a paper bag with some fruit like banana or tomato help or something as well? To ripen quicker I mean.

Last year, something or someone broke one of my most producing chili plants practically in half - there was a huge scar on it, and still is, because it's the only successfully overwintered plant this year. It started growing branches instantly when the old branches got torn off. No problem.
